Who is Jean Ambar?
Jean is one of those Renaissance people who can apply creativity to both the sensitive and the technical. They are an actor, sound technician, and video editor, absolutely interested in sexuality. Originally from Spain, they studied Journalism in Santiago de Compostela before moving to Barcelona to pursue Cinema. Their creative journey has always been intertwined with their personal one. As Jean came out as non-binary, their exploration of trans sexuality, gender, and audiovisual storytelling began to take shape in a powerful, authentic way. They co-directed and edited the documentary DIYSEX, a celebrated project that was selected at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and other global showcases. Through their art, Jean aims to dismantle taboos around sexuality, advocating for the visibility of queer bodies and pleasures. Their mission aligns perfectly with ERIKALUST. We speak the same cinematic language of desire.

In New Kings on the Block, Jean joins director Casey Calvert and fellow performer Diosa Mor in a trans lesbian celebration of identity, power, and community. The film captures the essence of drag king workshops, spaces where queers, especially trans and nonbinary AFAB folks, reclaim desire, pleasure, and self-expression. Through play, performance, and solidarity, they dismantle the binary gaze and rewrite who gets to feel seen, sexy, and whole.
In Dubbing, Jean stars alongside Mar Nantas in an erotic short film directed by Aleix Rodón. The story follows a voice artist who becomes entranced by the sensuality of another performer’s voice while dubbing a vintage porn movie. Through sound, imagination, and longing, desire transcends bodies and takes on a deeply intimate, sonic form. Oral sex scene here is something you will remember.
